Splenda Tastebook - Review

Thanks to MomCentral I had the opportunity to review the Splenda Taste book. This is a great cookbook featuring recipes that use Splenda as an ingredient. I use splenda every day in my tea or coffee so was excited about this blog tour.

For the review I received a box of Granulated Splenda No Calorie Sweetener and the Splenda Tastebook to review. I really am enjoying the cookbook. It has everything from Popsicles and smoothies to baked treats to main courses. Check out the top 10 recipes.

Because I have been so busy I made something as simple as can be - Popsicles with unsweetened Drink Aid mix and Splenda. I know - I pulled out all the stops on this one, right? LOL.

Well this was very, very easy to make - pretty much the only difference was I used Splenda instead of sugar. They are setting in the freezer now as I am typing. I have not tried the "finished" product yet but took a sip of the drink mixture (for testing purposes of course) and it tasted great!

I am really looking forward to making some of the tea breads and sauces. I especially want to try the chocolate chip pumpkin bars These look SO yummy! If I am feeling REALLY ambitions, I may try one or two of the Great Chefs, Great Cities recipes.

If you are a baker interested in seehing what you can do with Splenda, check out their Sweet American Pie contest. For Official Rules, click here. Starts at 12:00 p.m. ET on 03/12/10 and ends at 11:59 a.m. ET on 05/17/10

If you are someone looking to reduce your sugar intake, you may want to research the benefits of using Splenda, not just in your coffee and tea but also in your meals, sauces and baked goods! While you are visiting the site, check out how to start your own tastebook,

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Splenda and received products necessary to facilitate my candid review. In addition, a donation was made in my name to the Meals on Wheel organization to thank me for taking the time to participate.
