LUSH's Charity Pot Fund
LUSH Cosmetics is working to “erase bullying” with an interactive art installation from Vancouver-based artist, Bryce Evans that will be displayed in the windows of select shop locations starting August 31st. I will have to check our local mall to see if ours was one of the lucky ones!
LUSH is encouraging the public to sign an online pledge to treat others with dignity and respect by way of campaign partner Charter for Compassion. Also, as part of the campaign, LUSH has launched a limited edition Charity Pot hand and body lotion with 100 percent of the sales going to LUSH’s Charity Pot Fund, to help further the good work of grassroots organizations like Charter For Compassion.
Lush is known for their fabulous, natural products. This hand and body lotion is made with fair-trade cocoa butter and fragranced with ylang ylang, geranium and tagettes essential oils - sounds lovely! Not only will you smell good, you will also feel good knowing that each purchase is going towards an important cause. .
Visit to find out more about Charter for Compassion. To learn more about LUSH’s Erace Bullying campaign please visit www.lushusa.com/erasebullying, follow the campaign on social media: Twitter and Instagram @lushcosmetics #erasebullying and LUSH Cosmetics on Facebook.

Back to School with Bic Giveaway
Hi everyone, I am a little late with this one, but wanted to get in before most kids headed back to school. My little ones are in year round so they actually started back to school in July, but most kids are headed back to school in late August or Early September.
For those of you who have STILL not purchased school supplies, or need to buy more, check out the new fun line of products from Bix
· BIC® Tech 2-in-1 Stylus and Pen – Their newest product that features a lightweight stylus on one end and a retractable ballpoint pen with smooth-writing Easy-Glide System® ink on the other!
This is really awesome. I tend to use my fingers on my phone and ipad, but prefer to use a stylys. the problem? My kids are always losing them. I love how this is pen is also a stylus that I can take with me and not constantly be misplacing. I can keep one in my purse, one on my desk and one in the bedroom.
· BIC Automatic Mechanical Pencil – Our innovative and refillable mechanical pencil that easily retracts with just one click of the clip at the top of the barrel.
I am hiding this one from the kids - they tend to destroy mechanical pencils and I need one for those times that I need a pencil. Preferably one that is not sharpened to a nub with the eraser rubbed off.
· BIC For Her Gel and Marker Pens – These smooth-writing gel and marker pens bring style and sleekness to any writing experience.
This was our favorite item from the assortment. My daughter claimed these for herself but I keep borrowing. Pretty color ink (pink and purple) with a fine point. Writing is fluid and smooth.
· BIC Brite Liner Highlighter Tape – This one-of-a-kind, fluorescent tape not only adds vibrant highlights without bleeding through paper, but is also eraseable! !
My daughter became so excited when she realized what this was she then immediately snagged and ran off with it in the blink of an eye. She did show me how the tape worked but that it is the last I saw of it. This is such an innovative product. I love the neon tape - it does not smear pen like some ink highlighters do.
· BIC Round Stic Grip – Offered in vivid fashion inks, this pen provides comfort for everyday writing.
These are like regular pens but in fun bright-pastel colors. I find that this style of pen works best for me - my handwriting is much neater when using this type of pen!
· BIC Z4+ Roller in classic and fashion colors – With its .7mm fine point, this pen writes smoothly with a visible ink supply.
I claimed these for myself and hid them away in my errand bag. Hopefully the kids will not find these!
Giveaway - one reader will win the same assortment that we reviewed! To enter simply comment and fill out the rafflecopter form. US residents 18 and over only please.

Get Out Alive! Giveaway
Renowned British explorer and survivalist Bear Grylls is back with the ultimate survival competition, Get Out Alive!
The SEASON FINALE is on Monday, August 26 9/8c on NBC!
In #GetOutAlive, 10 teams of 2 compete to survive in the beautiful New Zealand wilderness with Bear Grylls as their guide. The teams are faced with various survival tasks as they battle the terrain, mountains, gorges, glaciers, rainforests, rivers and rapids. Each week, one team is eliminated, and the last remaining duo
will win $500,000!
Take the WOULD YOU GET OUT ALIVE? quiz, and get to know the contestants by watching inspiring videos about how they have all overcome huge obstacles in life. Come along on this journey with Bear and experience the adventure and challenge of the wild, all from the comfort of your living room.
• Bear GIFs! The Get Out Alive GIF Gallery - Watch amazing and action-packed GIFs from the show!
• Would YOU Get Out Alive? QUIZ - Getting out alive means making split-second decisions when faced with danger in the wilderness. Test your knowledge of the great outdoors and see how you “bear up” to Bear Grylls’ wild wisdom!
• Get to Know the Contestants! VIDEO CLIPS - Watch inspiring and entertaining clips of the contestants on the show. All have overcome huge obstacles in life and all are hoping to be crowned the winning duo of Get Out Alive!
Thanks to NBC, I have a Get Out Alive prize for one reader - The prize is... an Official Bear Grylls Survival Bracelet from Gerber! My daughter has a similar bracelet and these are really awesome - it is cute and fashionable but it also can also be handy, if not lifesaving, tool when out in the wilderness. The bracelet can be taken apart - this survival bracelet's design provides 12 feet of high-strength paracord to help you work your way out of a difficult situation. Weighing less than an ounce, it has an easy, one-hand size adjustment. The Bear Grylls bracelet is nicer than the one my daughter has because it also contains an integrated whistle.
This would be perfect for scouts, campers, hikers, etc. You can find the full range of official Bear Grylls Gerber merchandise at Walmart here: http://spark.walmart.com/#inspire/bear-grylls-kit-room
To enter simply post your results from the Would YOU Get Out Alive? QUIZ and then fill out the rafflecopter form :) Open to US residents 18 and older only please! Good luck to all :)
