With the grace of Bella Swan...

Today I had a Dr. appt early in the morning. I had to undergo a few minor tests. After a few minutes of passing most of these the Dr. said "OK, now we are going to check your balance!". I immediately confessed that I am clumsy and uncoordinated. I don't think he really believed me until he saw this with his own eyes. He asked me to close my eyes and stand up straight - easy right? I quickly started wobbling and he had to grab me so I would not fall. sigh. He had a little laugh about how I wasn't joking and we tried again but this time he was prepared to catch me. He then asked if my balance problems were recent and I replied that No, I have pretty much been this way my entire life. Enough so to earn nicknames like "Grace" and "Oops". Later when I relayed all of this to my husband he cracked up laughing because he knows first hand how accident prone I am.

Miss C. drove me NUTS all day on Saturday. I should have figured out why *that time of the month*. When I walked in the door Friday evening she started complaining that she was bored and that we never do anything on trackout. SHE JUST HAD HER LAST DAY OF SCHOOL ON FRIDAY. ugh.... She had not even been out of school for 2.5 hours. This continued all day Saturday. Ryan was working this weekend and Miss E. was very sick so we really could not go anywhere. Miss C. kept it up all day until I noticed that she was posting on Facebook how we never do anything, she is bored and we are the lamest parents ever. So I did what any good parent would do - I grounded her immediately. And publicly (on Facebook). I don't think she will be doing that again.

After I was finished I ran and had some labs taken. We quickly ran home so I could work for a few hours. The girls are tracked out of school so I took half a day. In the afternoon Miss C. also had a Dr.'s appt so the little girls were trying to entertain themselves. They decided to play "mermaid". They took blankets and elastic pony tail holders to make their tails. It was pretty hysterical. Miss E. apparently was getting hot so she took off her shirt and pretended to be a Merman. They looked just so darn adorable. Of course later that afternoon they were arguing and screaming. That was not so adorable.

Tonight I am catching up with giveaways and drops. I hope to have my new giveaways posted soon. One should be posted by Thursday.

Easter Breakfast

Miss E (6) and I woke up late. Miss N (8) and Miss C (13) had already opened their baskets. While Miss E. opened hers, I devoured some of Miss N.'s yellow chick Peeps. Not really a nutritious breakfast but certainly one that I don't have very often.

Miss C. is not feeling well with a cold and is back upstairs in her room. The little girls are now sharing a Reese's chocolate chocolate bunny and I have cut them off from eating any more candy. (but I don't think they are listening!)

Should be a nice relaxing day.

Yesterday we were out of town at Ms. C.'s final gymnastics competition - state finals. She was nervous and it was her poorest competition ever - I felt so bad for her. We did celebrate the end of season afterward though (and overall a good season for her). She wanted to go to IHOP so we stopped there on the way home and all ate WAY too much food. This is her last year competing which will be a really great thing for her. She feels too much pressure competing, especially from my husband(who is very competitive). Now she can still have fun, be active, etc. She can always go back later if she is ready but for now she can just have fun and re-build her confidence.

We got home yesterday and were all exhausted. Cleaned a little bit today and yesterday. We also watched a couple of movies. The girls played school, dress-up, etc.

Today I went into Miss E.'s room to put some clothes away. As I sat on her bed I noticed the entire side of the dresser was COVERED with stickers. I spent a good 15 minutes getting the stickers off, salvaging the ones I could and putting in a sticker book. I called her up to help me and explained that stickers were for paper or a sticker book, NOT furniture.

I was SO thankful the stickers peeled right off with minimal scraping.....Ah, kids.

Off to make dinner.
