We had an extremely busy weekend! I worked late Friday and then planned to go garage saling Monday with Miss N. Miss E. was at a Karate tournament with her Dad and Miss C. was at a sleepover.
Out of all my kids Miss N. apparently is the one who likes garage sales the LEAST. (Miss E. and Miss C. love it like me!). We found a couple of great yard sales though and were able to purchase quite a bit for less than $20. This was followed with brunch and a quick trip to Tuesday Morning to pick up discount art/crafts supplies.
Saturday afternoon everyone else made it home and I did some crafts with the girls. After that we went out to see Kung Fu Panda - the movie was great but the kids sitting behind us were loud, obnoxious and out of control. Usually I don't let that sort of thing get to me but they were over the top - it ruined the movie for me. On the plus side we stopped at Kroger on the way home and scored some great deals!
Sadly the Kroger by us is closing. I used to always shop at Kroger but rarely do now because other stores are closer. I am glad we stopped in that night though because the wine was on clearance for 20% off of the sale price. I am glad I made it when we did because the shelves were almost bare. I picked through the remainder and went home with 6 bottles of wine for about $30.
Sunday we cleaned and did bills. We worked ALL DAY! Then we weeded our vegetable garden. It took me, 4 kids and my husband to do the job. It was FULL of deep rooted weeds, including one prickly one. After weeding we planted seeds and used a little bit of plant food to get it started. I do NOT have a green thumb so need a little help. If all goes as planned we will have squash, cucumbers, pumpkin, tomatoes, yellow beans and water melon!
Today my husband hauled off a van load full of items for Good Will. It was a little late for spring cleaning and planting, but better late than never as they say.
I am a little behind on reviews and drawing winners but stay tuned for 1 new fabu giveaways to be posted shortly. Keep reading :)
